SGA Logo & Mascot Design Competitions

Calling all designers!

The Singapore Golf Association (SGA) is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for talented designers like you to showcase your creativity and leave an indelible mark on our organization. We are hosting Logo and Mascot contests, and we invite you to participate and bring your artistic flair to the forefront.

The SGA serves as the national body for golf in Singapore, fostering the growth and development of the sport across the nation. We believe it is the perfect time to revitalise our visual identity and introduce a captivating logo and mascot that truly represents the spirit of golf and resonates with our diverse community of players, enthusiasts, and supporters.

Here are some key details about the competitions:

Objective: Create a logo and a mascot design that embody the essence of golf and reflects the values of the Singapore Golf Association.

Guidelines:

  • The designs should be original, contemporary, trendy, visually striking, and easily recognizable.
  • The designs should also incorporate SGA’s values of being Relevant, Engaging and Dynamic.
  • Logo: The design of the logo should also incorporate the words “Singapore Golf Association” and include the colour red.

SGA’s current logo:

  • Mascot: This will be a new item for SGA. The design could be in the form of a caricature, insignia, crest or similar, so let your creative juices flow! Please also incorporate the words “Singapore Golf Association” and the colour red.
  • Designs should be able to be used effectively across various mediums, including digital platforms, print materials, and merchandise.

Submission Process:

  • All submissions must be sent to sga@sga.org.sg in high-resolution JPEG or PNG format.
  • Please include your full name, contact details, and a brief description of your logo and/or design concepts to be eligible for the respective competition(s).
  • The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2023.

Judging and Prizes:

  • A panel of judges, including representatives from the SGA, will evaluate the entries based on creativity, originality, and alignment with the SGA’s vision.
  • SGA will review the submissions and evaluate if any design(s) will be used to become the official logo and/or mascot of SGA. If selected, the winning logo and mascot will be used on SGA merchandise such as caps, umbrellas, bags etc.
  • If selected, the winner of each competition will also receive a S$800 cash prize.

By participating in this competition(s), you not only have a chance to make a lasting impact on the Singapore golfing landscape but also showcase your talents to a wide audience. Your design will become an iconic symbol, representing the passion, unity, and excellence that the SGA stands for.

Conditions:

  • Participants need to affirm their submission(s) is of their own original work, have not been copied from others or from previous designs, including their own, and does not violate or infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights. SGA shall not be liable for any violation or infringement of third party’s intellectual property rights carried out by the participant(s).
  • SGA reserves the right to disqualify any participant that:
    1.  undermines, has or attempted to undermine the operation of the competition(s) by fraud, cheating or deception; and/or
    2.  are not eligible or unable to provide proof of eligibility to participate in the competition(s) for verification by SGA when requested.
  • By participating in this competition(s), the participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein stated.
  • All submission will become the property of SGA and may be used for any other purposes, including, but not limited to, display on websites, business cards, letterheads, posters and other materials.
  • All intellectual property rights in any contents and/or materials submitted, made or created by the participant in connection with the competition(s) and any derivative works arising therefrom will perpetually and unconditionally be vested in, assigned to and owned by the SGA.
  • SGA shall have the right to adapt, edit, modify, or otherwise use the winning submission in part or in its entirety in whatever manner it deems appropriate without compensation to the participant and the participant waives all rights he or she may have in such materials or works.
  • SGA reserves the right to cancel or modify the competition at any time.
