Singapore Island Country Club came from behind to clinch a narrow victory at the inaugural SGA Junior Inter-Club League (SGA-JICL). The SGA-JICL was a 4-leg stableford series organised by SGA which featured junior golfers 14 years old or younger who proudly represented their clubs.
The first leg of JICL kicked off at National Service Resort & Country Club followed by the second leg held at Warren Golf & Country Club. The third leg of JICL was unfortunately abandoned due to the inclement weather. The final leg took place at Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) on 12 September 2022.
The participating clubs were Keppel Club, National Service Resort & Country Club, Seletar Country Club, Singapore Island Country Club and Warren Golf & Country Club. SGA Future Squad members, aged 9 – 11 also had the opportunity to represent SGA in the 2022 SGA-JICL.
“The inaugural SGA-JICL was a success! Many thanks to the players, clubs, parents & chaperones for their unwavering support in the event. We hope to see more juniors & clubs participate next year,” Mr Ng Luo Yi, Chairman of the SGA Junior Development Sub-Committee expressed his gratitude.
