Gen Nagai of Japan is the new 2019 Philippine Amateur Champion. While Singapore’s bet, Lucius Toh who scored a 4-days cumulative score of 14-over 298 (71,83,73,71), settled for the 2nd Runner-Up finish after a bogey on the first of a 2-hole playoff with rivals Nagai and Vanchai Luangnitikul of Thailand.
Toh also bagged the best daily gross scores award for rounds 1, 3 and 4.

Compatriots Jeryl Tan, Andre Chong, Brandon Han and Tommy Tan finished 13th(T), 19th(T), 30th(T) and 33rd positions respectively.
In the Ladies Divison, Linna Loh ended at 16th position with a 4-days cumulative score of 38-over 322 (73,84,84,81). Lois Kaye Go is the women’s division champion.

Lucius Toh got his groove back and surged once again to 2nd(T) position . Toh finished the 3rd round of the Philippine Amateur Open Golf Championship with a 3-days cumulative score of 14-over 227 (71,83,73). He is trailing Thai Vanchai Luangnitikul’s 13-over 226 (74,77,75).
In an unexpected twist of fate, 2-days leader, Jang Sung Hun of Korea, got disqualified.

Jeryl Tan improved his standing as well to 16th(T) position with a 3-days score of 27-over 240 (80,83,77). However, compatriots Andre Chong [31-over 244 (80,79,85)], Tommy Tan [34-over 247 (80,84,83] and Brandon Han [38-over 251 (82,84,85)] slipped down 23rd, 30th(T) and 34th positions respectively.
Linna Loh is still trying to find a way to battle the strong winds at Riviera Golf Club and slipped to 15th(T) position in the Ladies Division after submitting a 3-days cumulative score of 28-over 241 (73,84,84).
The 4th and final round will start tomorrow, 6th January 2019.

The unforgiving winds and tough pin positions get the better of Team Singapore in the round 2 of the 2019 Philippine Amateur Open Golf Championship (PAOGC) at Riviera Golf Club, Cavite City Philippines.

Lucius Toh dropped to 10th(T) position after submitting 2-days cumulative score of 12-over 154 (71,83). Andre Chong climbed up to 17th(T) position with a 2-days cumulative score of 17-over 159 (80,79). Jeryl Tan and Tommy Tan dropped to 27th(T) and 29th(T) positions respectively. While Brandon Han slightly improved his standing to 33rd(T). Round 1 Hole-in-One achiever, Nathen Tan, missed cut with a 2-days score of 28-over 170.
Round 1 Men’s Division leader, Jang Sung Hun of Korea, retained his spot with 2-days score of 6-over 148 (69,79).
Lady luck did not give her precious smile to the ladies of Team Singapore either.
Linna Loh is the lone Singaporean lady that made the cut. She dropped 6 places and now tied in 11th position with a 2-days cumulative score of 15-over 157 (73,84).

Inez Ng ended her PAOGC title hunt with a 2-days score of 24-over 166 (80,86). Linette Chua improved her score but was not enough to make the cut and posted a score of 27-over 169 (86,83) while Callista Chen ended her campaign with a score of 29-over 171 (81,90).
Overnight leader, Bianca Pagdanganan of the Philippines dropped to 2nd(T) spot while Thai player, Atthaya Thitikul took the 1st position after 36-holes.

Lucius Toh started his campaign strong in the 2019 Philippine Amateur Open Golf Championship at Riviera Golf Club, Cavite City, Philippines. Toh, an Elite Squad member, posted a round 1 score of par 71, just 2 shots behind round 1 leader Jang Sung Hun of Korea.
Fellow Singaporeans, Andre Chong, Tommy Tan and Jeryl Tan are tied at 24th spot with a score 9-over 80. While Brandon Han is tied at 35th spot with round 1 hole-in-one achiever at #4, Nathen Tan, with a score of 10-over 81.
For the Ladies division, Linna Loh posted a round 1 score of 2-over 73 which is good to be ranked in 5th position. Bianca Pagdanganan of Philippines and Asian Games Gold Medalist for Team is ahead of the pack with a round 1 score of 4-under 67.

Just 10 hours in to 2019 and Team Golf Singapore is already on the hunt for its first regional golf tournament victory. The team, comprised of 4 men and 4 ladies, departed from Changi Airport yesterday, 1st January 2019, and headed to Riviera Golf Club in Cavite City, Philippines for the 2019 Philippine Amateur Open Golf Championship (PAOGC).
The Men’s Team will try to replicate the victories of compatriots Gregory Foo and Jerome Ng who have won the PAOGC titles in back-to-back fashion in 2012 at Canlubang Golf & Country Club and 2013 at Wack Wack Golf & Country Club. While the Ladies Team will try to achieve its first win in this championship.
