Lee finishes in T16 in Melbourne

Melbourne, January 12: Brayden Lee signed off from the Australian Masters of the Amateurs Championship with a final round one-over-par 73 to wrap up his campaign in a share of 16th place.

Lee’s four-day total of six-under-par 282 meant he finished six shots back of champion Phoenix Campbell of Australia at the Southern Golf Club.

Ryan Ang, meanwhile, closed with a 289 total after carding rounds of 73,72,70 and 74 to finish tied for 40th place.

Singapore’s other representative, Aloysa Atienza had earlier missed the cut in the 72-hole stroke play event.

The Master of the Amateurs is one of the most prestigious amateur tournaments in Australia and players can accrue world amateur ranking points by playing it. The event attracts top amateurs from all over the Asia Pacific region.
