Round 4
The Australian Master of the Amateurs has officially come to an end.
SGA National Squad player Ryan Ang carded a nine-over par 81 final round for four-round total of six-over over par 294.
“My plan would be to take the positives from this week as there were far more positives than negatives! Take these and move onto next week with renewed confidence, “expressed Ryan.
SGA National Squad member Aloysa Atienza ended her round with a three-over par 76 for a four-round total of nine-over par 301.
“I’m definitely going to prioritise rest the next day. Tighten up a bit on my wedge play. We’ve got practice rounds at the courses so hopefully I can come up with a good strategy and capitalise on my strengths,” expressed Aloysa.
SGA National Coach Matt Ballard mentioned that the players braved a very windy 30-50km/hr winds every day this week. He said: “The Greens got firm and speed got faster as the week progressed. Controlling lower ball flight and spin in tricky Blustery conditions will be key for next week also.” Coach Matt foresighted that the condition for the upcoming Australian Amateur 2023 conditions will likely be the same if not tougher.
The Australian Amateur 2023 will be played from 10 January to 13 January at the New South Wales Golf Club & St. Michael’s Golf Club, NSW.

Round 3
SGA National Squad member Ryan Ang carded a one-over par 73 and has a three-round total of three-under par 213. This leaves him tied in 17th position with Hong Kong’s Kho Taichi. He shared that he will continue to focus on his strategy and to stay present for the final round.
In the Ladies’ division, SGA National Squad member Aloysa Atienza recorded an even-par 73 and has a three-round total of six-over par 225. She is currently in 18th position.
“Really glad I’ve bounced back each day since day 1. The conditions the last 2 days have been pretty tough, playing in the afternoon, but I’m pleased I managed to keep my focus and grind out all 18 holes. Tomorrow my focus is to sharpen my wedge play, and give myself more opportunities for birdies. I’m playing in the morning so hopefully the wind isn’t too strong early in the round and I can get off to a hot start,” Aloysa expressed.
Daryl Low and Inez Ng unfortunately missed the cut after a three-round total of +14 respectively.
The final round of the Australian Master of the Amateurs will be played on the 6 January 2023.

Round 2
The round 2 of the Australian Master of the Amateurs is in the books!
In the men’s devision, Taichiro Ideriha from Japan leads the devision with a two-round total of eight-under 136. SGA National Squad member Ryan Ang recorded an even-par and has a two-round total of four-under par 140, leaving him in Tied 6th position alongside with Japan’s Yata Sagiura and Hong Kong’s Kho Taichi. SGA National Squad member Daryl Low shot an eleven-over par 83 in round 2.
Ryan expressed that he will continue to focus on his strategy and to stay in the present for the next 2 rounds.
In the ladies’ event, SGA National Squad member Aloysa Atienza carded a three-over 76 after her second round. Her two-round total of six-over 152 leaves her in Tied 19th with Australia’s Choi Eunseo. SGA National Squad member Inez Ng completed her second round and recorded a nine-over par 82.

Round 1
Team Singapore is competing at the Australian Master of the Amateurs held at Southern Golf Club.
SGA National Squad members Ryan Ang got off to an impressive start with a total of four-under par 68 after the opening round. He is currently tied in 5th with Japan’s Minato Oshima and USA’s Nicholas Gabrelcik. SGA National Squad Daryl Low is a T57th after recording a two-over par 74 in his opening round.
Ryan shares he is happy to be in contention, and he will continue do his best in the coming rounds.
In the ladies’ event, National Squad players Inez Ng and Aloysa Atienza had a round of two-over par 75 and three-over par 76. They are in T22 and T26 respectively
