Does this advisory only apply to National Youth Training by SGA?
No. ALL Youth training must cease immediately, inclusive of those at golf clubs, Associate clubs, Affiliates, private academies or any 1-on-1 open class.
What is the definition of Youth specific to this advisory?
A youth is someone who is currently in Pre-School, Primary, Secondary, Junior College, International Baccalaureate program (IB), Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or Polytechnic. University students and Full-time National Servicemen are not considered Youth.
Would it be possible to continue Adult (Non-Youth) training?
Yes. However, the 1-meter distancing measures should be maintained at all times and whenever feasible. Other measures like separation by time and space to reduce mixing of people, travel declaration and temperature screening should be taken.
Where is this advisory taken from?
It is an advisory and directive from Sports Singapore. MOH will be enforcing regulations under the Infectious Diseases Act to give force to safe distancing measures. Existing levers under the Infectious Diseases Act, including the temporary suspension of operations, may be used against persons and operators that are non-compliant with the Regulations.
Can Youth/Non-Youth golfers still practice at a driving range, short game area or play golf on course on their own?
Yes. All golfers can still access their clubs and practice facilities but must strictly adhere to the precautionary measures taken and advise given by the facility.
