The very first SGA Junior Golf Challenge of the year kicked off at the Masters Course on Tuesday, the 23rd of May 2018.
The SGA Junior Golf Challenge is a competitive series for junior golfers in Singapore. Targeting juniors aged 14 and below with handicaps under 24, the 9-hole competition provides regular tournament play for the youngsters in Singapore. The Junior Golf Challenge provides a platform for juniors to excel and be scouted as potential Junior Squad members. Regular competition trains our young golfers to cope and excel under tournament pressure.
For the 2018/19 calendar, the series has been renamed – SGA Junior Golf Challenge – Laguna National Series presented by Laguna National Golf & Country Club. Showing their support for Junior Golf Development in Singapore, Laguna National has kindly agreed to host all 6 legs of this series on the Masters Course with a grand finale in March 2019.
The weather held up on Tuesday to allow 59 juniors to take the stage with hopes of qualifying for the finale in March 2019. The top 2 players in each division for each of the first 5 legs of the series, will qualify for the Grand Finale next year.
At the end of Leg 1, a total 22 medals were given out across 6 different categories. The prize-winners of the day were:

- Leg 5 – 13th November 2018 (Tuesday)
- Finale- 24th March 2019 (Sunday)
