Singaporeans Abroad: Juniors enjoy strong finish in Thailand

Nov 3: SGA Junior squad members ended their week commendably at the Singha Thailand Junior World Championships after the boys finished second in the team competition while the girls signed off in fifth place on Sunday.

Samuel Tan, who finished second in the A Division, carded rounds of 74, 73, 75 and 74 while Reyes Halim, who was competing in the B Division, posted rounds of 76, 75, 74 and 79, compiled a team total of 600 – six shots behind champions, Thailand.

Dylan Chua finished in 13th place after rounds of 81, 86, 81 and 81 while Kok Kian Foo took 14th place with a 330 total in the Boys B Division.

Chloe Ng posted rounds of 77, 72, 82 and 77 to emerge in fifth place in the Girls A Division at the Royal Hua Hin Golf Course.

Ng, together with Passion Hsu – who carded rounds of 72, 85, 81 and 80 to finish in 10th place that also featured Amelie Ng in the Girls B Division – had a team score of 624.

Anjanette Tan signed off in seventh place after rounds of 81, 75, 75 and 81.
