The Malaysian Golf Association team won this year’s edition of the SGA vs MGA Annual Match held at Templer Park Country Club by 13 points to 11.
Inaugurated in 1976, the annual match which consists of six four ball and six foursome matches on day one and 12 singles matches on day 2, was won by Team Golf Singapore when it was held at Keppel Club in 2017.
This year, the Malaysian Team had led by 8 points to 4 after the first day of the four ball and foursome matches. However, Team Golf Singapore fought hard on the final day (Singles) and attempted a comeback victory. Our young lions managed to win 7 points out of a possible 12 and was just 1.5 points away from retaining the trophy.
It was two exciting days of great golf played by both sides. Congratulations to the Malaysian Golf Association Team!
