The Final round of the 72nd Singapore Open Amateur Championship concluded at Laguna National Golf & Country Club, Classic Course. Denwit David Boriboonsub of Thailand emerged as this year’s Champion following his 1-under round of 71 today (5-under total). Singapore’s Nicklaus Chiam and Low Wee Jin played great golf too for four days. Low Wee Jin ended the tournament three strokes behind the leader (2-under total) after shooting a final round of 71. Nicklaus Chiam settled in third place at 1-under total. Former SEA Games Team Gold Medalist Joshua Ho finished 4th individually. 2nd/3rd/4th positions for Team SG! ??

The 72nd Singapore Open Amateur Championship saw the likes of many international teams namely from Malaysia, Chinese Taipei, India, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong and host country Singapore. It is truly an international field as we have got over 70 international entries. The quality of the field is strong, and a great showcase of golf on Laguna National’s Classic Course thus far.

Round 1 update
Denwit Boriboonsub of Thailand shot an opening round 68 and took the clubhouse lead. There is a three way tie for second place between SGA National Squad players Nicklaus Chiam and Low Wee Jin and James Gill of New Zealand.
