Gregory Foo and Marc Ong both shoot 3 under in the first day of SEA Games

 

At the 29th SEA Games 2017 golf competition which is being played at the Mines Resort and Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the first day’s individual play closed with Singapore’s Gregory Foo and Marc Ong both shooting identical scores of 68 (3 under) on the par 71 Mines course.

Gregory and Marc are lying in fifth and sixth position respectively and are close behind the leader Kammalas Namuangruk of Thailand who shot a remarkable 8 under 63 on the first day. The other members of the Singapore Men’s team, Joshua Shou, shot a three over 74 and is in 19th position, and Joshua Ho shot a five over 76 and is in 26th position, from the first day’s competition.

In the SEA Games Women’s golf competition, the highest placed Singaporean is Callista Chen, who shot a three over 74 on the first day. Other members of the Singaporean Women’s team, Jacqueline Young shot a six over 77 and is in 16th position whilst Sarah Tan shot a twelve over 83, from the first day’s competition and is in 19th position.
