On 22 August 2022, the Singapore Golf Association (SGA) held an Investiture Ceremony with the Singapore Ladies Golf Association (SLGA) and Singapore Senior Golfers’ Society (SSGS).
Graced by Guest-of-Honour Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community & Youth and Second Minister for Law, a total of more than 70 attendees were officially inducted as office holders of the three significant organisations in the local golf ecosystem. All three organisations work collaboratively towards a common objective – to grow the game of golf in Singapore.
Building on the momentum from the previous term, SGA President Tan Chong Huat also presented SGA’s nine key strategic objectives for this new four-year term. These nine strategies are aimed at achieving the following three pillars:
1) Developing the golf ecosystem
2) Ensuring and Accelerating High Performance
3) Improving SGA’s financial position
President Tan commented, ”This ceremony was organised to officially induct all office holders. We look forward to working closely together as we strive towards our common goal to promote golf in Singapore.”
