From SGA National Coach Matt Ballard:

“I am very proud of what we have achieved with the SGA High Performance Program in my 4 years as National Coach.

Not only with the athlete results, but the systems and structures implemented have created a solid foundation for aspiring Singapore golfers to achieve at a high level both locally and abroad.

The current crop of Singapore athletes have achieved so much along the way, paving the way for the next batch to step into their shoes. Many of them breaking their own personal bests as individuals and as a country.

I would like to thank the training and development committee and SGA board for allowing me the freedom and providing endless support to shape the program from day one when I arrived. For that the athletes and I are thankful.

It’s with a heavy heart that I am leaving behind such amazing people I work with at SGA.
Along with former GM Jerome and current GM Joshua we always strived to put the athletes first. I am honoured to have worked so closely with these two gentlemen to strengthen the HP program.

Finally, the athletes.
The ones whom I spent so much time with on a daily basis. It’s been an honour to be a coach, mentor and friend with you all. Thank you for trusting me to help guide you with your golf game over the years. Memories of a lifetime with amazing people and athletes!

This isn’t a goodbye, but rather I’ll see you soon. ”

We would like to thank Matt for all his contributions to Singapore Golf and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
